I first tried a WiFi booster which did solve the connection problem but there was lag time. So I purchased this three pack and read the instructions. I put one unit near the main router and plugged an Ethernet cord from the router to the unit and my son put one in his room and plugged a cable from his unit to his laptop. I pressed the pairing button on my unit and he did so on his. Boom - Instant Ethernet and the speed was much improved. I haven't run tests but their is no delay whatsoever - video's stream perfectly! I then took the 3rd unit to the den and plugged it into the wall and then plugged my TV into it and connected my TV's Ethernet port into the unit.
